Cast Iron - Still The BestAugust 12, 2009

I absolutely love my cast iron cookware. When I was first married (many, many years ago,) someone gave me a cast iron skillet. I did not think I would like it. It was heavy, and hard to take care of. I think I let someone borrow that skillet for a camping trip, and I never got it back.

I love my new dishes I got for Christmas. When the kids asked me what I wanted, I said "pretty plates!" They asked if I wanted a new set of dinnerware, but I told them "no." What I wanted was a variety of different pretty plates for photographing my recipes for the Real Home Cooking website and my other food blogs.
